Ömer Büyükuslu hold an M.Sc. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University (Germany). He worked as a graduate student at the Max-Planck Institute for Iron Research, focusing on kinetic and thermochemical studies for sustainable steelmaking via a hydrogen-based route. He is currently employed in the GTT-Technologies software development team, where he is actively involved in computational thermochemistry and material design problems that require high-throughput calculations using FactSage and Python.
